The British actor, Benedict Cumberbatch, became a ‘Real Hero’ after he removed four thieves who attacked a cyclist in London.
The 41-year-old Cumberbatch jumped out of the taxi he was in and ran to help the man, who was delivering meals to houses after the thieves surrounded him.
The attempted robbery took place at Marylebone High Street and is located near Holme’s house in the fictional stories of Baker Street.
“One of the attackers tried to grab the victim’s bicycle … he received a punch in the face, a blow to the head and another blow to his helmet,” London police said in a statement.
“There was no report of the theft of a thing and the victim was not required to receive treatment in the hospital, and no one was arrested,” the statement said.
Diaz said the actor ran towards the attackers and pulled them away shouting “leave him alone” before they fled. Cumberbatch told the paper he was not a hero. “I did it because … that’s what I have to do,” the newspaper quoted him as saying.
The Hollywood star is best known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in a British series and the character of superhero Dr. Strange in Marvel movies.
