PSL4 matches to be held in Lahore are moved to Karachi due to logistic problems caused by the delay in the opening of airspace for international flights. Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches have been rescheduled after shifting to Karachi where the action will now start on March 9 instead of March 7.

On Wednesday after Pakistan shot down two Indian jets that violated LOC, it closed its airspace. The decision to move the PSL 4 Lahore matches has been made in light logistics and airline schedules after the airspace closure.

Well its good news for Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah says they are all set to host the matches in Karachi.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board Chairperson Ehsan Mani, the matches in Pakistan will begin on March 9 now, it was a difficult decision, he said.

Karachi’s National Stadium will be the battleground for all the matches and the teams.
Due to problems faced by the TV production company the decision was taken following the situation arising from the closure of airports resulting in logistic.

However, there are some challenges that PCB has faced as a result of the closure of airspace of Lahore airport. This also included securing production equipment and the assurance of broadcast crew, as well as confirming the logistics for the officials and teams.
PSL officials and the franchise owners in Dubai held a meeting, where it was decided to shift the matches to Karachi. Foreign players were also informed about the security arrangements during the meeting.

Discussing the situation with the franchises, they have backed this decision and have instructed that all their foreign players will feature in the last eight matches. This has been an extraordinary and highly spirited tournament that has been thoroughly enjoyed by the fans and the players.
