This year some of our favorite celebs got lucky to be nominated for the honor of getting the Government’s highest award for civilians on their contribution and dedication towards the country and making it recognized all over the world as a Pakistani.

To make Pakistan day celebration more colorful and beautiful, on the eve of March 23, at the Awan e Sadar celebs were awarded for their contributions in their individual associations. Artists and sports legends have been presented with the utmost tribute in admiration of their performances on Pakistan Resolution Day.

The Pakistan Civil Awards were bestowed upon 127 people at Aiwan-e-Sadar, Islamabad by President Arif Alvi. Those who were honored included Sarfaraz Ahmed, Waseem Akram, Waqar Younis, Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, Sajjad Ali, Babra Sharif, Mehwish Hayat, and Reema Khan. The celebrities were awarded medals from the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi.

Categorizing upon their contribution to make the country proud are our very own cricket living legends, Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis. They have served Pakistan in the field of sports for a successful long career; they were honored with Hilal-e-Imtiaz on 23rd March, The second highest civil award.

For Sitara-e-Imtiaz, the third highest civilian honor was bestowed upon Muhammad Ahmed Shah, the first elected president of the Arts Council. Continuing on the list are Sajjad Ali, Attahullah Khan Essakhelvi, for serving by singing us the most melodious and heartfelt songs. Singer Munir Hasan (late), known for his best playback songs, was also awarded.
For the promotion of versatility of our culture and other languages Pushto singer, Sardar Ali Takkar, was given Tamgha-e-Imtiaz. Mehwish Hayat was also nominated for the same award appreciation.

From the film and Tv industry, Babar Shareef and actors Shabbir Jan, Iftikhar Ahmed Thakkar were awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz, while our versatile actresses Reema Khan no less talented was presented with Pride of Performance.

To take the spirits of a recent victorious surgical strike by Pakistan Forces our singers also contributed on this special Pakistan Resolution Day, Ali Zafar has come up with a special number, ‘Jaan De Deinge’, which recently was released ahead of 23rd March 2019.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) kept the tradition alive of making special national songs on this year’s Pakistan Day celebrations.

So as Atif Aslam by the magic his voice he paid tribute to the Pakistan Air Force with his song Shaheen e Pakistan.
